Black Is The New Green
As promised before the weekend, Silent-Butterfly.com is now black, or at least mostly black. After learning that black (or dark) screens save energy, I figured the best I could do for my site is go dark. I did add a few splashes of colour, just because I don’t want it to go all grey, black and overall dark.
It might not be the prettiest layout around, but it works for me and the thoughts behind the site and that’s all that matters 
Edit // I was pointed to this article on Google that says it depends on your screen if dark backgrounds use less energy. If you have the wrong screen it might even use MORE so make sure you check your monitor type!
