Going Green
I guess it shouldn’t come as a surprise to most (especially those following me on twitter). Silent-Butterfly.com is going GREEN. Not only is it going green in the most obvious way; by layout colour, but from now on I’m going to (try to, I always seem busy) blog about having a green lifestyle.
For me this makes sense as I’ve always loved nature and for as long as I can remember I have been separating and recycling my trash. If you see me around town it’s safe to say I got there on foot or by bike. I don’t believe in taking my car for short distances that are easy to walk or do by bike. It only adds to the pollution, it’s a waste of gas and walking or cycling is good for your health!
So what does this mean for the site? Well apart from changing colour I’m going to write about ecofriendly solutions in every day life. Tell about the things I do to try to keep my pollution to a minimum and hopefully inspire others to do the same.
I’m even contemplating making this site greener by using CleanBits, although I have to do some more research on that first. So that’s something for the near future.
The site needs a little more tweaking here and there but that should be sorted shortly. Please let me know about anything that needs fixing. Meanwhile why not share your ecofriendly tips and ideas with me?!

I’m interested to see the green posts you come up with. I find myself with an increasing interest in ‘greenness’ – the problem is of course, that while there are things I’d love to do (e.g. composting, cycling instead of driving), factors in my life make it an impossibility. I’m going to be living in an apartment without a garden. My work is located somewhere where it’ll be impossible for me to cycle to – though I try to take the train wherever possible.
Anyway, look forward to what you have to say.
