The website is back up and for those of you who missed it, I’ve transferred hosting. Or actually I’m still with the same hosting company, same hosting package but this time, I’m in charge.

For as long as SB has been around, my good friend Kerry has hosted me on his servers and packages. I’ve thought about transferring to my own hosting package more than once but for some reason never pulled through. This time was different though as I just really want to be in charge of everything I do, what mails I make, how I back up my databases and everything else.

The transfer was trouble free and even though I never done it before, I managed to take all my posts, comments and other info with me to the new database. The only thing I can see went ‘wrong’ had to do with my own impatiens. The domains were back up with the new DNS within 2 hours, the mail took about an hour or so longer but little impatient me was wondering why it didn’t work at the same time and why all emails took different times to have their DNS updates done. In the end it only took about 3 hours total to have everything back up again.

If you mailed me the last few days though, please resend them as they might have gotten lost in the transfer.
