Anna DeStefano; Dark Legacy
My writing ‘escapades’ (by lack of a better word) have resulted in doing Twitter searches for NaNoWriMo and AmWriting some frequently used hash tags to find like-minded souls. Through AmWriting I came across an author named Anna DeStefano. I must admit even though she has written multiple books I had never heard of her, but her twitters are interesting and her website is fun to read so a follow on Twitter was soon created.
One of her tweets was about retweeting the link to her new book Dark Legacy. Of course I had already checked out her site a little and read about Dark Legacy. Feeling it was worth it to spread the word of her new book (word of mouth, or word of tweet if you will is never a bad thing!) I retweeted her message. And I have to admit that by doing so you’d enter to win a signed copy of the newly released book was very tempting too, although I kept it mind that chances of winning are slim as probably a lot of people did exactly the same thing.
You can imagine my surprise and joy though when I found out this morning that I’m a winner of a signed copy of Dark Legacy!!! I couldn’t believe it at first and had to rub my eyes again before I realized it really had my name listed
. I’m thrilled about it because reading excerpts from the book has me even more interested in reading the book, finding out what happens with the main characters and what exactly that curse is about.
I also checked my local library to see if they had any other books by Anna that I could read, but unfortunately they don’t seem to have any. Although I will go in soon to ask them personally if they can get any from another library or something. It will be fun to read some more by her before I start Dark Legacy. Mainly because I am a book junky and love to find out about ‘new’ authors but also because I’m more than a little curious now to see what her other books are like.
If you love reading or if you’re just really interested in finding out more about Dark Legacy and/or Anna DeStefano you can visit her website, follow her on twitter, read an excerpt of the book or even buy the book on Amazon or Dorchester Publishing.
I can’t wait to find my copy in the mail and I’ll be sure to share my thoughts about the book as soon as I’m finished reading it. But for now I’m going to leave you with the prequel to the book, maybe that will get you sparked about the book too!
Before I leave you to click any links from this entry (or non if you aren’t interested). I’d like to make clear that no one asked me to write this entry or to add so many links into it so you don’t have to email or comment about that asking me if I get paid to write this. The answer is simple and short; NO. I really feel this book is good (from what I read so far) and want other book lovers to know about it too. I know I’m always looking for new books and authors and really enjoy it if others share their new ‘discoveries’ with me as well
.
