Childhood Memories

When I was younger, I used to love series like Angel, Roswell and Dark Angel. It was something I loved to watch. I hadn’t seen any episodes of the shows for ages, and even though I probably could have looked them up online, I never got around to doing that.

Last Saturday though, I was watching TV and landed on SciFi channel (thanks to Digital TV) and low and behold; Dark Angel was on! But wait, it got even better, after the Dark Angel episode the next show they aired was Roswell. This must have been my lucky day. Could it get even better?! Surely it did with Angel right after that :) .

So with a little playing around in the digital TV guide, I’m able to record all episodes of the shows while I’m at work and I get to relive my childhood a little.

Of course there were more shows I would love to watch, I would get up on Saturday mornings around 8 AM and watch Telekids, which aired all kind of series every Saturday. Things like Saved by the Bell, Animorphs, Sweet Valley High, The Tribe and The Twilight Zone might sound familiar to some of you.

i didn’t watch any of those you’ve mentioned, but i remember watching prince of bell air, alf, knight rider, the a-team, … oh and baywatch! i’d still watch those if they aired right now.
i love reliving those golden years.

Omg that is whacky luck! But nice though. Hmm i remember being toootally into Dark Angel – although it was always on at 8.30 on sunday nights and left me going to bed feeling rather dark and depressed :/

anyway, OT, but just before, i accidentally clicked a link and it went to a really old blog post of mine from 2007 (it was a really deep and reflective one with contents that I hold dear even today) and saw that you’d commented on it. Scaaary how time flies.

Aw, that’s awesome! I loved cartoons when I was very young like the smurfs, rainbow brite, and the care bears. When I got a bit older I enjoyed nick at nite and I loved 7th heaven.

I loved those shows too! FYI, Hulu has the first season of Roswell up and a bunch of Angel as well. Just in case you were looking to get your fix online too.

I can remember watching Saved by the Bell when I was a kid along with Captain Planet , The Smurfs on video an Australian show called The Ferals amongst others .

Wow, I’ve come across a blogger who’s mentioned The Tribe. I was obsessed with that show for years.

Hardly anyone I knew knew about Dark Angel, it was always on a channel only some could get. Now it’s on a major channel and I wish this had happened when it was being filmed, perhaps they wouldn’t have axed it…
