Twilight
I’m such a book freak, I can’t go into a book store without coming out of it with at least one new book. I can’t go to the library without bringing the maximum amount of books back in more than 1 language. And, generally, I can’t see a film without having read the book first…
Now Twilight seems like the kind of film I’d enjoy watching. But of course I ‘have’ to read the series (by Stephenie Meyer) first. And to make matters worse, it seems like a good series to have on display on my bookshelves.
So adding a few of the above mentioned points together I went online to order the whole series at once with BOL. Because I really enjoy reading books in English I figured I’d go for the original books (translations are usually a little off) and order them in English.
The series arrived on Tuesday, so I quickly finished the book I was reading and started with Twilight on Wednesday. It was so much fun to read that I just couldn’t put it down and before I knew it I was well due to leave for work that day.
It’s now Sunday and I’m halfway through Eclipse (book three) and once again I can’t put it down.
The weather outside makes for even more reading pleasure; the sun is out and it’s actually pretty warm for the time of year so I can sit outside, work on my tan (I’m nearly as pale as Edward Cullen) and read the books. Heaven…
Unfortunately with me getting lost in the books, I haven’t had time to get online, check my email and my favourite (blog)sites and use Twitter and Facebook (gasp!). I will catch up with it soon though, the books are nearly finished (1,5 book to go) and I have an extra day off this week and a few more days off in the coming weeks so it should eventually all work out!
Maybe I shouldn’t mention that Terry Goodkind‘s series The Sword of Truth is already waiting for me after I’m done with Twilight….
Book suggestions are always welcome!

I can’t stop buying books either. Earlier I picked some that I have acquired over a few weeks and there were like 20 of them.
Even though I so wanted to enjoy Twilight I hated it. I even read the second book by chance that I would like it, but I didn’t. It was not for me at all.
I’m like you — it’s hard for me NOT to buy books! I can’t bring myself to read Twilight. I’ve heard so much about the books and the movie and I’ve seen quotes from the movie everywhere and it doesn’t seem like it would be my cup of tea.
I’m currently hooked on John Grisham books. It all started with The Firm and now, I already have 9 of his books. Try reading his books! Then, there’s always Jane Austen. You can’t go wrong with her works

I am so disappointed that you’re reading Twilight.
If you like historical fiction, I can’t recommend the novels of Jean Plaidy enough. There’s about 100 novels, all based around stories of European royalty over a number of centuries…highly recommended!
