Tinted Windows
I love posting about music, new bands and existing music that isn’t too main stream. I think there are a lot of great bands out there that have been in the music ‘business’ for years but have remained under the radar as they aren’t considered commercial enough for the big music labels.
Today though I’m going to write about a new band that has been in the business for years main stream and under the radar. That might sound contradicting, a new band that has been around in the business for years. But not if you know that this band features musicians that have stepped out of their own bands to do a side project.
Meet Tinted Windows. The band features Taylor Hanson (lead vocals), James Iha (guitar), Adam Schlesinger (bass), and Bun E. Carlos (drums). Do these names sound familiar? That’s very well possible!!
Taylor Hanson is best-known as a member of Hanson (which everyone who knows me knows is my favourite band EVER), James Iha was one of the original members of the Smashing Pumpkins, also has been a member of the band A Perfect Circle, as well as being a solo artist, Adam Schlesinger is in the bands Fountains of Wayne and Ivy and Bun E. Carlos is the drummer of Cheap Trick.
Quiet a line up eh?! Their debut album will be released on April 21 on S-Curve Records. The first single of the album is called Kind Of A Girl and I can totally see myself pumping it in my car radio with my windows open driving around the city. I was blown away by the first song of this collaboration and I think you will too.
Here is a little teaser of the first single of this new band! Enjoy
The full song can be heard on the Tinted Windows website! I can’t wait for the album to come out so I can hear more of them. Even though it’s a lot different than what I’m used to for example with Hanson, it’s awesome!

I had no idea that one of the Hansons brothers is still active. That’s awesome. Thanks for the info
