A Hellish Week

My last week has been hell. The weather is constantly changing and it’s affecting my arthritis immensly. I have been spending my week in bed knocked out by my medication. I hate staying indoors, and I hate it even more to have to call in sick (again) although my boss really understands.

I hope that I can go back to my job tomorrow, sitting at home is driving my crazy. Making me feel useless and actually lazy. Isn’t it sad that people who want to work get hold back for various reason, whether it’s an illness, a working permit or any other reason, and those who don’t want to work can get money from the government pretty easily.

Life sometimes isn’t fair like that. And I know that there are a lot of worse things in this world. I always try to tell myself that. But being 25 and not able to work at times due to an illness makes me want to tear down some walls at times, or destroy my kitchen china, just to blow off steam…

I can’t even imagine what it must be like for you Chans. :( Would you ever consider moving to a more temperate climate? The top end of Australia always has sunny weather…

That must be immensely frustrating. When I was little, I’d always get angry about the things my disability (Klippel-Feil Syndrome) wouldn’t let me do. For instance, I could never climb on the monkey bars. When all my friends wanted to, I felt really bad that they wouldn’t climb up just because of me — and sometimes, when I didn’t have very good friends, they would climb up and I’d feel even worse. PE was also a challenge. Now that I’m older, of course, people don’t tend to do things I can’t – they sit and chat, which I can manage easily, and it’s much better this way. :)

I hope the weather calms down soon, so you can go back to work and feel better. I can’t really imagine how frustrating it must be to have arthritis like you do, but I really do home it gets better. :)
