National Geographic Photo Contest

I have been thinking about participating in the National Geographic Photo Contest for Belgium and The Netherlands but when I went to the site I noticed so many beautiful photographs. Truly much better than mine, and I’m not talking myself down, they just are!

So now I’m in doubt, should I just go for it and try? Or should I forget about it and not participate at all. Generally I would say ‘nothing lost, nothing gained’ by just sending in a photograph. But at the same time I don’t want to make a fool of myself by even thinking that my photos are good enough.

I do know that if I participate, I want to go to certain places to get some great photos before admitting them. I have until September 1, 2008 to send them in so it’s still a month to go.

What should I do, participate or not?

You’ll never know if you don’t try! After all, you’ve got to be in it to win it – and it’s better to have a slim chance than to have no chance. :)

i say go for it..and if you don’t win it’s alright, and in the end you did gain.. you gained knowledge from your pictures =)

I think you should go for it… you don’t have anything to lose! Who knows, you may even win it!
