Test Drive

I’ve been messing around with the layout and gallery display at Chantal Photography today. Just for a little bit because my arthritis is killing me (once again) and I much rather lay in bed as it’s more comfortable to ease the pain. But honestly, I feel so lazy laying in bed all day, even though I have a valid reason, so I tried and do at least something productive.

Before, I used the Simple Viewer WP plugin, but that wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, so I went on a hunt for another gallery display. I’ve come up with something called Next Gen gallery and so far I like it. Surely it’s not 100% as I wanted it, because I wanted to have comments for every separate image, but so far I get positive feedback from people about the gallery. Unfortunately they don’t know much about standards, loading time and general coding issues, so I need your help!

Can anyone test drive the Landscape Gallery and let me know how you like it? It’s a javascript plugin but if you have it disabled it just opens the images directly without fancy display when you click a thumbnail. I really hope I get some feedback from people that know what they are talking about (coding and layout wise etc.) because all I get now is ‘That’s so pretty’ and ‘Your photographs are so good’. Of course this is not bad feedback, but I need a little bit more constructive criticism.

I have yet to adjust the template a little though so it shows the last updated time and date as well as remove tags and comments for the gallery page. But for now it’s just about the gallery display with the plugin.

Thanks in advance for the help, it’s greatly appreciated!

Hi there!

Thanks for commenting at my site. Yes, we loved Amsterdam and yes, we visited the Anne Frank house. Romantic trip or not, I couldn’t imagine visiting Amsterdam and not going there. It was amazing – and frightening. Gave us a lot to think about on the tram back to the hotel.
