It’s Been A Year
It’s already been a year since I went to London to meet up with my friend May and attend the Hanson concert at the Koko. I really can’t believe it’s been that long already, I remember it like it was yesterday.
We were so lucky after the show to end up right behind the fences before the guys came out to sign things. We hadn’t planned it at all, we just went to look at the fans waiting at the stage exit when the roadies and security pulled up some fences to make some space to carry out the equipment. Fortunately, because security was pushing everyone aside, we were shoved from the back to the front and decided to stay for a while. Even though we had to catch our last ride back if we didn’t want to call a cab we stayed put.
While we were waiting, I got pushed to the back again by some angry mother (the mother of a teenager, mind you) trying to get closer to the fence to catch a glimpse of nothing. Because at the time, there was no one there to sign things or carry things out.
May was holding on to the fence and managed to get a hold of my copy of the ‘Go’ single, so she could try and get it signed for me too. I guess luck was really on our side that night, she managed to get both mine and her copy signed and even made some photos of the signing. Multitasking really is a talent…
The concert was absolutely great, and it proves to me that you don’t always have to be front row (third balcony, centre stage with no one behind or in front of you works fine too) to enjoy a concert and have a good time.
Hopefully Hanson will be back in Europe this year, so I can enjoy them live on stage once more….

Glad you had a good time at the Hanson concert! What kind of music do they play?

The funny thing is… I REMEMBER your little post about that. It’s also been more than a year since I started reading your posts!
