Sam’s Surgery

Sam had surgery this morning. Nothing serious he just has been neutered. It might sound cruel but it’s the best thing for him. His hormones started playing up (even though he’s only 6 months old) and he was trying to hump things, which he isn’t allowed.

It’s only frustrating for him to have to deal with it, as well as the fact that male cats start spraying urine around their territory once they are about 6 months old. Also, in case he ever escapes outside (hopefully that never happens) he won’t be able to impregnate any neighborhood cats.

So for his, mine and the neighborhood’s sake he has been neutered today. When he awoke from his general anesthesia he was – of course- very wobbly on the legs and kept falling over. But he slept it off and he seems back to his old self right now, he has been eating and drinking so he’ll be OK.

No Christmas balls for poor Sam…

I’m sure he’ll be back to normal soon enough (minus the humping of objects and people, of course)!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year (and I love the new theme, by the way).

I am happy that Sam’s neutering went well! Happy Christmas – with no Jingle Bells to you and Sam.

Actually I think he’s angry with me; He tried biting me and scratching me all day which he usually doesn’t do (or not all day anyway ;) )
