Ornamental Mayhem Part II
Finally there is a little time to sit down and write something up in between cleaning up broken Christmas ornaments, buying Christmas presents, redecorating the tree with “Sam Proof” ornaments, work and family.
I think the tree lasted about half a week before I had enough of the shattered ornaments (about 6 or 7 in total) and picking up the fallen ones (and not putting them back in). By Wednesday I had more ornaments laying around in my book closet than I had hanging in my tree so I figured I’d them the remaining balls out and go on a hunt for non-breaking ornaments. Or, in other words, plastic balls…
So after walking around town for a little while yesterday and trying to get around people strolling around the Christmas stands put up for the Christmas market, I noticed most stores carried glass – and therefor breakable- ornaments.
I tried my luck at different stores but non seemed to have any plastic balls. As a last resort I went to a relatively cheap store that carried all kinds of things; from pajamas to shampoo (but it’s not a department store). And what do you know, they also carried Christmas decorations! So for 9.45 EUR, I now have a fully decorated Sam Proof Christmas tree…

I have never had a “indoor” cat and I had no idea they would go crazy on trees but I guess the dangling and dazzling ornaments could be attractive to a cat.
We don’t have a tree this year because we aren’t going to spend Christmas at home. Next year we will though and I hope a tree can be toddler safe as well as cat safe
Have a great time re-decorating.
