Working Life

Pirates 3 was great.. I have to admit it’s not a movie to watch when you haven’t seen part 1 and 2 but it’s nice when you have. Also, I don’t think it was the best movie out of the three but I’m sure it’s hard to maintain the same ‘standards’ throughout.

Not that it was bad, or lacking something, not to my opinion anyway but it was just a bit too ‘busy’ at times and maybe it had to do with the story line as well. Ooh well, I got to drool over Johnny Depp again and catch up with my friend so it’s all good. And on top of that I saved money! Tickets where half price at that time of the day (11 AM) so that’s a nice addition.

It seems to be catching up with friends week though. Sunday I have to go to another friend who lives a little while away from me. It’s her birthday then and I haven’t seen her in a long time either. I think it was February when we last saw each other thanks to the same old university and working life complications..

Really, working life is great for my bank account but my social life doesn’t always agree with it.

Did you watch the secret ending to pirates 3?

I thought it was little busy and action overload too. I still think the previous movies are better, but that’s just me :)

Yes I did, but I have to say it wasn’t a big surprise. Or at least to me it wasn’t…

I like the third one a lot. Moreso than the second one for sure. It had a lot more non stop action which is usually what I look for in a summer blockbuster like that. I tend to rent artsy flicks and slower movie flicks. If I am going to the theater I want to get my money’s worth, and to me that means testostorone and adreneline overlaod. I think Pirates did a good job of both.

Let’s see, my opinion of PotC 3 was this: it was too long, the Calypso thing was a joke and the ending sucked. I didn’t hate it but it surely didn’t make me happy to see that that was the end.

You know, I have to say that like all other trilogys/sequels/series…the first one is best.

Of course, it doesn’t stop us from going to see following sequels (yeah, I’d probably waste my money on a fourth Pirates…), just because we’re so comfortable with the brand. :P

Since I started working my social life has died a rather painful death… well I mean I do talk to my colleagues and we joke and goof around but still… outings NOPE. School + exams+ work = no social life what so ever.

Oh well, hopefully this will change after I graduate (start of July)

Ack everyone is talking about Pirates of the Caribbean film and I have not a chance to go see it – the backside of family life I guess. I will have to wait and watch it on dvd when time comes. Just like the rest of the movies I have had to pass the last 1½ year.

I saw a cool naked event from Amsterdam in the news . I envy you life in such a colourful country.
