You’ve Returned

I never thought I’d say this but I missed you. You’ve been away for over a month and things were dying out. I know that we don’t have a good relationship it swings between love and hate but I’m well aware that I can’t live without you.

The drought, that dry spell, really did me good though. It was something I desperately longed for after our bickering of the last few months. I managed to recharge, get things together and come out stronger.

You cause me a lot of pain and misery. Sometimes, when it all gets really bad, you even make me cry. I’ve cursed at you and prayed for you to go away or stay for a little while depending on my mood. At times you were very gentle and just when I got used to that you switched and came on so strong I feared what was to come…

Right now you’re back though. I can hear you tapping on my bedroom window. A month (well over a month actually) is a very long time to disappear. Even so I can’t resist to peak out my bedroom window to look at you. It relaxes me to just watch you, or listen to your music.

And even though I missed you, and realize that I do love you I can’t invite you in. I can’t bring myself to open that window and ask you to come inside. Why? Because I know what will happen when you’re gone. I’m stuck with the mess you made and am left behind to clean it all up. Seriously who in their right mind enjoys cleaning up water from their floors in the middle of the night?

So instead I’ll just listen to the rain against my window…

For those of you who missed the point of this entry: We haven’t had rain in well over a month and since today things have changed. It’s actually poring down. As usual it’s affecting my arthritis but I can deal with it at the moment.

I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it (as cryptically as possible)

Love letters to the rain, think I’ll write one myself :-P I’m sure the rain feels all fuzzy inside now.

As for me… I’d rather write a love letter to the sun. I live in the “Rainy City” so there are time when I have to endure almost a month straight of rain. The day when the sun finally breaks out of the clouds is almost enough to make me break down in tears! lol

If I were to write a letter to the rain, it will probably be an unpleasant one :P

I’m not quite sure it’s healthy to write about the rain in such a manner, you know. ;)

We have drought in the summer but I always have to ask my Science teachers how; it never seems to desist raining.

That was pretty good. Although, I would never write that about the rain, stupid thing would never leave this year. lol

ps. Did you know your calendar still says Jan. 2007?

I also love rain! The sounds against the windows makes it cozy to be indoor and it leaves the air so fresh and clean.
