Bee Hive

I’m shaking like a leaf while writing this. I just got back from my parents, walk in and hear a loud buzzing sound. Loud enough to make the little hairs in the back of my neck stand up. I recognize that sound anywhere; a wasp!

Just a quick glance in the direction of the sound shows me enough. There’s a huge wasp (or bee or whatever) near the lamp behind the sofa. Well, to me it was huge anyway but considering I’m Spheksophobic, that isn’t really an objective opinion. So after seeing this (huge) wasp I run back to my parents house to get my dad, who’s already in bed, to get rid of it.

Right now I don’t feel safe. I keep looking around me to see if there’s more of them, as well as hearing a buzzing sound coming from the ceiling or the walls. Which of course probably has a very rational explanation. At the moment I don’t see the rational part though!

Who thought that those little creatures could scare someone so much, especially since I only know so many lovely Bees, I even redid my QBee Quilt today…

I don’t like wasps. At all. At least bees are useful…. I get quite hysterical when they come near me actually. I’m not a firm believer in “they’re more scared of you than you are of them”.

Oh my gosh. I don’t like wasps either! When summer comes around, they crash all of our backyard barbecue parties! LOL

But somebody told me that its wasps that sting and bees don’t — not so sure about that though.

Ew, insects! Have you got bug spray handy? :P

I’ve only ever been stung by a bee once, and thank goodness it has only ever been once. I’ve never seen a wasp anywhere near me and I hope I never see one at all!

Once there was a wasp in our lounge room, and I told Dad about it and he didn’t believe me. Then he saw it and said, “OH there’s a wasp in here!” as though I hadn’t told him about it to begin with.

My mum is allergic to bee stings, and one from a wasp could kill her (apparently). So we hate wasps around here, too.

You’re not alone, I’ve been know to scream and run away from bees and wasps. I’m highly allergic and I don’t enjoy hospital stays.
