On The Move
It seems that everybody is moving these days, maybe it has something to do with the start of the new year, maybe it hasn’t. All I know is that it’s time for me to update my links

Amanda is no longer ‘Amanda of Obsidian-Raphsody‘, she is now ‘Amanda of Jing-Wen‘. To me she’s always been just Amanda so it doesn’t matter where she hides online I’ll find her anyway…
Tracey also decided to move around a little and left Blondie. Gumby. Sushi. behind, only to move into Chrasy. A name she feels is more her, and I have to say, it’s a lot easier to remember.
So be sure to update your links to both Amanda and Tracey!
As far as SB is concerned, I’m not moving, just evolving. Or at least I hope so anyway. In April 2006 I started to change things around. I changed my coding into valid XHTML and a clean and valid CSS . Threw the loud and screaming blend overboard and created a calm layout that’s more me. I came a long way, but I know I still have a long way to go. Things are a long way from finished, and they probably never will be, as I keep thinking of new ideas to add to the site. Although truth be told, I still have to implement a lot of those ideas, if only I had more time in a day!
This is the longest lasting layout ever on SB, as far as I can remember that is. It’s been up since the big change in April 2006 and I’m still not bored with it. Actually I think I love it too much. When I think about changing the layout, I feel a bit weird, I don’t want to part with this one yet. Although maybe ‘web standards’ say I have to; it’s been up for too long.
I never had a problem with changing layouts, but for some reason this one feels so right that I can’t change it. However, I know that if I were to change layouts again; it would be something similar, something that, yet again, represents me but without being to obvious. I might even consider creating a certain theme through all my future layouts so they have something in common, kind of like a series.
Maybe, I could look into skinning SB. Then those who love this layout so much (like yours truly or Rhiannon) could still use it, and those bored with it could have something fresh.
As you can see I’m not sure what will happen with SB layout-wise. All I can say is that I’m looking forward to hanging out here for a long time to come.

In all the time that I’ve known you, this is the only layout I’ve ever seen up on Silent Butterfly. Bad thing? Good thing? I don’t know. I love the layout, but I’d also love to see what other styles you could come up with.

Thanks for the link to Amanda, I’d been trying to access OR for a couple of days and began to worry/wonder where she had gone.
I also need to change my layout. Or rather, I need to finish making the one I’ve been working on for months. I’d be interested in seeing what other styles/themes you could do, like Amanda, although I do like this one.

It’s so sad to see Amanda is only blogging on her website now. I do love her blogs, but I’m gonna miss all that interesting content!
Please, please, please don’t change the layout! I love this layout to pieces, but I suppose if you must change it then could you pretty please skin your site? I will never get bored of this layout.
