Validation

Finally I did it, I found the time to take the advice Mandie and Amanda from Umb-Rella Reviews gave me to heart. I managed to validate my site with XHTML Transitional. The next challenge is to validate it with XHTML Strict.

I received my review from PetShopGirlReviews. I’ve already implemented a lot of the suggestions Rhiannon gave (and fixed the spelling errors) but I still have to put the review up. If you can’t wait until it’s up on S-B.com you can satisfy your needs by reading it here.

Two blog entries have made their way into the Scribblings section; Culture and Obesity. Both entries seem to be good for a discussion so they deserve to be more exposed than they are now. Feel free to add your comments on the subjects.

Speaking of comments, I’m receiving a lot of spam comments on one particular article; Pop The Vote. Today the spam reached its maximum, a total of eightyfour in one day. I don’t want to put up a spam-preventing captcha just for that one entry. So if you see some spam around the site, especially in the above mentioned article, just ignore it, I try to remove it once a day.

For those of you who care; my grandmother is still not doing well, she’s still in the ICU. The only thing we can do is keep our fingers crossed.

Aww Chans… *hug* I just read about your grandmother. I really hope she’ll be getting better very soon.

Heel veel sterkte aan je oma, jou en je familie!!

Fingers crossed down here in New Zealand too, Chans!

I always get spam comments on one or two particular entries. It bugs the hell out of me, but thankfully, WP filters out most of them and I just have to click one button for them all to go away.

Have you tried turning off comments just for that post? It’ll block any genuine comments, but as it’s an old post, I don’t think that’d be too much of an issue.

Thanks Everyone!

Amanda, that might be an option but it’s also an article in my scribblings section so a lot easier to find (and comment on) than a normal blog entry. I’ll keep it in mind though :)

Hope your grandmother does better, I was wondering.

Have you tried bad behavior? I’m about to run out but you can find the link here: luve-me.net/domain/plugins

It’s great. I haven’t gotten 1 spam comment, and even akismet doesn’t have to do anything (although that works too)

I hope your Oma gets better. *hug*

Also, XHTML Transitional is fine, there’s really no need to “step up” to XHTML Strict. :) Stick with what’s comfortable, as long as it works.
