Chantal Photography

My portfolio is finally up and running, when I managed to install WP again yesterday it seemed to unblock the layout block. I managed to scrape a somewhat decent layout together which is now viewable on Chantal Photography.

You’ll have to be a bit patient though, not everything works yet (such as Terms of Use and something about yours truly) but you can browse the images and categories. The bad news is that even though my main to do list got shorter, the specific to do list for C-P got bigger:

  • Set up Terms of Use page
  • Set up Photographer Info page
  • Set up contact page
  • Set up the pages for the Series Section
  • Add details to the layout such as site name and borders
  • Create a decent footer
  • Think of a way to add comments to falbum

As you can see there is still a lot to do before I can say it’s finished but hey it’s a start. Falbum only supports comments through flickr.com which is bothering me as I’d prefer it to have visitors comment on the page itself rather than having them go to flickr and sign in or sign up to be able to leave comments.
Maybe I’ll have to think of a whole different plugin for WP instead of Falbum, but for now it will have to do. If you have anything to say about my photography in the mean time, you can do it here or on the update blog on C-P.

Oh I like the theme you have created for your photography site! It is very professional looking and yet calming at the same time… The inclusion of zebras definitely increased my liking of it.

I also wanted to ask your permission if I could possibly use your photography to do some art sketches and paintings for my coursework?

Ooh, the zebras are really nice – I love black and white photos! Well done! =)

Ah, nice layout you’ve got going on there :D I’m going to go have a look at the photos right now. And go apply to trade with you in the Q*Bee!
