Book Challenge
As some of you might know I’m a book addict. In the last three weeks I’ve read nine books. The local bookstore should be forbidden territory for me. Unfortunately (for my bank account anyway) I can’t go into a bookstore and come out empty handed. Luckily I have a subscription to the library where I can take books home to my hearts desire.
A filled up book closet always makes a house look so cozy. The best atmosphere for reading a book, for me anyway, is a dark sky, some nice lights on in the house, a good chair / sofa / bed, a cup of hot chocolate or coffee and the rain hitting the windows. But generally reading is nice no matter what the weather is like.
Because I read so much I figured why not set up some sort of challenge for myself. I want to find out how long it will take me to read fifty books. I’m going to keep track of the books I read and how long it will take me to read them. I might actually go into rating them too. Although rating something like a book is very personal, what might be a good book to me, might be a horrible book for someone else.
The first book on the list is one I started yesterday, and I’m already half way through. So feel free to check out my Book Challenge and recommend a book!

I understand it’s not funny when someone takes your original work but again, you also ask credit for work that isn’t yours. Did you read the article I gave you?
Robine, using Disney animations is still copyright violation, no matter how you edit it. It’s a derivative work, the base image still doesn’t belong to you, you can still get sued by the Disney company. Half the stuff you offer for download on your site (I’ve had a look) violate copyright regulations in some way. Take a close look at what you do, before labelling others as thieves.
Yup, I read it. And I understand it, even though I am not very good at English. But I have creditted everybody, and if not, I state that I really want the people who made the things I have used, contact me. I am not doing anything wrong. If I do, I would like you to specify what. I really don’t understand. If you are not a photographer, it means you can not build websites with stock foto’s? This is an interesting thing, so I’d like to hear your point of view, Chans.
LOL. I’m also a hugeee book addict! I’m annoyed now because I can’t find anything good to read…well now I’m reading George Orwell’s Animal Farm..
If I had the money and time, it’d take me 50 days to read 50 books. LMFAO.
I just read George Orwell’s Animal Farm a few weeks back. Quite different from what I’m used to but I like changes 
Hmm, ok.. I have a friend that is a fashion photographer and I will use one of his pics (with his permission, offcourse!) on my next layout. That would be pretty cool.
And I know where I got the picture from, I will credit it asap, but I am at the office now, we don’t have a ftp server here. When I get home tonight, I put it up. Uhm thanks I guess…?
ah, the setting you painted for reading a book really sounds nice now, but it’s actually making me long for winter instead of a book, haha. i’ve had my mind on hot chocolate lately, and summer isn’t really the best time to drink that! sigh.
your book challenge seems exciting, i’ll have to see that in a minute because i’ve many books to recommend! i’d love to do something like that, but it’d be sad when i don’t follow through or it’ll take five years to read fifty books, haha.
WOOT! Book lovers uniiiiite! I’m currently in this 12 book in 2006 challenge, which is sad because is started 6 months behind most of the ppl and is now almost half done.
My fave reading atmosphere is when there’s a rain/snowstorm outside and I’m in a nice cozy bean bag chair, with a cup of hot chocolate, classical music, and a view of the stormy weather.
I’ll definite recommend a few books that I recently finished. Maybe you should make this into a challenge that others can join as well, to compare progresses and such. I would definitely be interested!

Awesome! I’m not a book addict but I do like reading. I think setting up yourown book challenge sounds great. Fifty books is A LOT. Where are you gonna get 50 books that interest you? Well, have fun with that! 
Hiya Chans! What type of books do you like? Although I haven’t been reading all that much lately (one of the downsides of being obsessed with the computer 
) I’d be happy to recommend a few books I read a while ago but still stand out in my mind. Anyway, good luck with your challenge!

I know that I haven’t took the pictures on my avatars.
Th images from photobucket don’t show up because I have changed links, to annoy direct linkers. I am sure you understand, that when some people take your avatars or other photos you editted you wouldn’t be happy. The avatars are offcourse made from famous peoples, but they are to be used for forums, boards or MSN only. The person I was talking about had displayed my photobucket avatars on her site. She didn’t steal the crappy celebrity avatars that are still up. She had stolen my animated avatars. I am sure you will understand when you see them. They are from Disney and have little Disney animations in them. Offcourse I didn’t actually draw them, but I have editted them and added text and brushes and animations to them. Believe me, It isn’t fun when someone takes you graphics. But I am sure you will understand.
