Today was my first day at work again in the new year. I don’t really like the whole “you have to shake hands with everyone” deal that comes along with wishing everyone happy new year. Not that I mind shaking hands but you’re also going to shake hands with people you don’t even know. That’s kind of charming in a way because it’s nice that strangers wish you a very Happy New Year but it’s also weird as there is probably not really an emotion behind it… I don’t know, to me this whole thing is not really black and white. With family it’s really simple, I wish them a happy new year and I mean it, with colleagues I mean it too but it’s different than family and with strangers, sure I don’t want anything bad to happen to them because that’s just well, obvious but basically you are just saying it to be polite. I can’t explain it any other way .

Then of course with the new year there are lots of people with new year resolutions. Quiet honestly, I don’t have any. Sure there are things I want to change or do differently but that has nothing to do with the new year. My opinion is, if you want to change something about yourself, or your life, you should do it as soon as you think of it not wait until a new year to come along and then do it. I just want to change things around a bit health wise, eat a bit more fruit and drink more water instead of soda. But I’ve already been doing that for a few months now and I have to say I lost about 5 KG. Of course with all the good food with Christmas I think I probably gained a bit again but if I continue to do the things I did they will be gone again soon, hopefully anyway .

Unfortunately the weather wasn’t good enough today to get the photo shoot of Adanto. It didn’t rain or anything but with a photo shoot (outside anyway) I like to have a bit of sun. Even though it’s winter here, you can still get a good amount of sun on some days. I guess I just have to hope the weather will be nicer tomorrow.
