New Photos
Today I finally found some time to take some new photographs. I woke up this morning only to see that it had snowed a little during the night. The yard was covered with a thin layer of snow, which looked more like icing powder than snow. So I took my camera and took some really nice shots of some tulip bushes (yes they excist!) that still have some buds in them (considering it’s the middle of winter that’s amazing). I don’t have all my photos up yet I’ll do that when I have some extra time on my hands (which hopefully will be tomorrow). But for now you can enjoy the first photo already at the beginning of this post. And don’t forget that you can view the bigger sized photo on Chantal Photography.
On Christmas Eve we had this really nice dinner with the family and we unwrapped the presents that were underneath the tree. My parents got me some really cute speakers to go with my notebook. They are very small and especially designed to go with notebooks. They also got me an aluminium briefcase to put my notebook in when I want to take it with me (like when I travel to a foreign country or something). Everything fits right in there including my new speakers.
For Secret Santa, Rob had to buy me presents and he got me a platter with 6 candles in different sizes and colors and an aluminium photoframe. I had to buy Niki presents and I got her the newest CSI NY book and a CSI PC Game which she didn’t have yet. I think everyone really enjoyed the dinner and from what I could see they all liked their presents.
Yesterday I went to Noella‘s house to spend the day there and we had a nice gourmet dinner. After dinner we watches The Patriot and had a few good laughs. From all my friends that I had at college she’s the one I see most often. Tessa and Maaike live a bit further away so it’s harder to meet up wth them although we hopefully have a girls night again in the beginning of January.
Now that the count down to the beginning of 2006 has begun things have kind of slowed down at work. Today wasn’t really that busy. I finished at 9.15 PM which means no overtime at all today. As a matter of fact I finished before my contract time of 9.30 PM. To be honest that’s the first time I’ve ever experienced that since I started work at UPS last May. I have to admit I kind of enjoy not having to stay late at work for a change. Ofcourse working late is all extra money, which is very nice but it’s also nice to get home relatively early for a change and to be able to enjoy the rest of the evening watching some TV and things like that.
Apparently it’s supposed to be slow all week (or so my colleagues say) so I’m looking forward to a nice week of early nights although I’m not getting my hopes up too high as it might turn out busy after all…
Plugged: April
I’ve updated my QBee Quilt with the patches I received for the new Winter Event. So go check it out.
That’s it for now, later dropsticks x
