It’s been ages once again, and this time there really isn’t an excuse. I’ve just been lazy.. Sure I have to do a lot of things around the house because mom’s shoulder still isn’t healed but I have had a bit of time to go online and surf the net so I could have written something here. I suppose it’s just truly laziness at the moment. I think what I need right now is a blog ‘software’ like CuteNews. That way I only have to log in and write what I want so I don’t have to code anymore. Not that I have to code a lot but I see it as a bit of a hassle at the moment (-yeah a real hassle, opening up the html file, writing my stuff and saving it, big deal!-). Ooh well it might just be the time of year because everything seems to slow down online, even forums and things like that. Everyone gets busy doing their things before the holidays and things go quiet around here. Not much you can do about it…. 

I know I’ve said this a lot already but I might just really start updating more often. I bought a new computer last Saturday, or well a laptop rather, which I can take with me wherever I want to go and write from there. When I get back from work I even go online while I’m in bed (talking about being lazy hehe). Heck I could even be writing this entry from the toilet (which I’m not might I add) and you wouldn’t even know it! The laptop I bought is a Packard Bell EasyNote E6310 and I think I got a good deal on it. I went to the store to look at another laptop (also Packard Bell) and I was just finishing off the details on the payment with the guy from the store when his colleague said that I could have this laptop (which had more GB, and a DVD writer) for the same price because it was the last one they had. It has been on display behind glass in the store and there are no scratches on it or anything like that so I decided to go for it. So the past few days I’ve been putting all my files that I needed to save onto the laptop from my desktop and gave my desktop to my sister to use while she’s away at college. From what I can tell she was quiet happy with the desktop as recently she had a lot of report assignments which she can now do at her dorm room instead of at home during the weekend.
It took me about 2 days to get everything moved and working properly. At first I was having some Internet problems with the laptop, it would work on the router with a short cable but not with the long cable that’s already up in my room until I went back to the store to ask what that could be. They told me to completely put a new cable through the house and then it would work. The reason why it would work on my desktop and not on my laptop would be the network card settings. When he mentioned that I suddenly got a bright idea, went home, changed the network card settings on the laptop to match the desktop settings and voila Internet worked like a charm.
Currently I’m still online on a cable but I might just try to get a wireless network set up, depending on the costs and if my parents are interested in that. For now that’s not a priority though. My first priorities are getting the housework done, finishing the websites for my clients, doing a whole bunch of other stuff and then nearly at the bottom of my list is the wireless network… why? Because the wireless network would only be to get rid of the cables that aren’t even in my way at the moment and so I can Internet outside during the summer (which, depending on which part of the world you are…) is pretty far away still.

Maybe this all sounds like I haven’t had time to relax and actually go do something with friends but that’s far from true. I’ve been to see the newest Harry Potter movie with Noëlla the other day. Which was really good, I really enjoyed the movie. The only ‘sad’ thing about it was that they changed and left out some details that are in the book so at some points in the movie I was like Huh? This is a bit different then I remember. But either way it was good.
I’m going to Utrecht with some friends coming Saturday, we’re just going to hang out, go out for dinner, maybe do some bowling and ofcourse remember all the fun times we had at concerts over the past years (as that’s where we met).

I haven’t seen Maaike nor Tessa in the past few months but I guess that’s just because t hey are so busy with college and we live pretty far apart that it’s hard to just quickly meet up. We really have to plan this. We had some plans to do a Secret Santa thing but for now, the dates mentioned so far aren’t convenient so we have to decide on a new date and time to meet up and do the Secret Santa. We were all invited to come to Noëlla‘s house on Boxing Day but as far as I’m aware of neither Tessa or Maaike can make it, so it’s just going to be Noëlla and me. Not that that’s bad because it will be a lot of fun but it would have been good to see the other two girls as well. Especially since it’s been a while. I guess we should just organize a reunion thing very soon lol before we start forgetting who everyone is )

Right I’ve been writing another essay again so I’d better be off and go write some more Christmas Cards for the Christmas Card Exchange on Hanson.net. It’s such a cool thing, I’ve been getting loads of Christmas Cards from all over the world from people who I might not have spoken to online but in some way we are all connected by loving the same band and loving music in general.
