TrollBeads
Not too long ago I learned about Trollbeads. I had heard of Pandora and other similar charm collections but trollbeads where new to me. Doing a little research online and talking to people who actually wear them made me aware that trollbeads are actually the original charms. They have been around since 1976!
I have to admit I never really liked Pandora. I just couldn’t get used to the style and some of the glass beads made me wonder if they really weren’t plastic. So I never bothered to look into the charm collecting thing.
The brightness and the details of the trollbeads charms really did catch my eye though. And surfing around the website really made me want to start collecting them. So last week I went out and bought a silver bracelet and a lock and my first charm.
Every charm has its own meaning and you can change the bracelet (or necklace) around really easily with new beads that fit you as a person.
Admittedly they aren’t cheap, they cost a bit of money especially when you just start with everything (you have to get everything from scratch) but to me it’s worth it.
The good thing about it is that I now know what to ask for holidays and celebrations
.
I have the following beads already (granted there are only 2 so far but my wish list contains a lot more!) and I can’t stop looking at it, it’s pretty and shiny
. All images come from trollbeads.nl

The bracelet I bought (they all look the same but differ in length)

The lock, you have many different locks, even ordinary locks that don’t have flowers or gems on them. I just loved the way the flowers look.

Turquoise Stripe: I just loved the colours, but finding out the meaning of it was really funny as I’m a true water person Mediterranean blue as the ocean surrounding the Greek Islands. Alternating stripes of frosted and transparent glass, letting light through in a way that makes colour move within.
Today’s purchase would have been my first charm if it wasn’t for the fact it was sold out. Luckily they re-ordered it and I managed to get it today. It totally reminds me of Sam.

There are few creatures as playful and funny as the little kitten, that jumps at anything it can get a hold of, with its big eyes and great eagerness. This is quite a little troublemaker. I guess that not only says something about Sam but also a little about me, and some would point directly to the troublemaker part…..
I have a lot more charms and beads on my wish-list, like the two horses, or the giraffes, mocha for my coffee addiction (coffee beans) etc. At least now I will always know something to ask for a birthday or holiday, the downside is that those days are still months away….

I must admit that when I read the title of this entry I thought that it referred to the kinds of trolls who cause trouble on message boards in order to gain attention .
Hi Can anyone please tell me how I can print a list of all the trollbeads available and what the meaning of each bead is.
Thanks
Erica
