Shocked and Speechless
I’m shocked and at a loss for words, I really don’t know what to say. Today a young man attacked staff and children at a nursery in Belgium. Killing 2 children, 1 staff member and seriously injuring 10 children and 2 staff members. According to the news details here, the 2 children that died where under a year old, babies still.
How can anyone attack another person, let alone children and babies? I really can’t grasp it. It’s appalling and it’s making me sick. When I heard the news I got goosebumps all over, and just writing this up is chilling me to the bone.
My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the children and staff members, those that died and those that were injured. I can’t even begin to comprehend what they must be feeling. So many lives and families ruined, an open wound that will never heal again.
One would think that a daycare centre is a safe place, but once again this cruel world has shown everyone that no one, no matter how old or young you are, is safe anywhere. Not in your own home, at school, work and daycare centre.
The attacker has been caught and I truly hope, that for once, justice will be served. It’s a scary thought that this man might be part of society one day again…

It is truly a blow to humanity when some people decide to take others lives in their hands for the wrong reasons. I remember when I had been pregnant with my son (over 6 years ago), that a woman dropped a 2 months old baby from her 4-story Austin, Texas apartment. I cried so hard….much harder than I would have when not pregnant.
It really is a sad moment when people are like that. 
That is really, really upsetting I think it’s so sad that there are parents who left their children there thinking they would be safe who had to find out that their children either got injured or, worse, are gone. I’m also saddened by the death of the people who work there.

That’s so sad to hear but some people are just mentally fucked in the head or that they are just plain evil. It’s tragic because we never know until its too late for them to get any help.
