Guilt Feelings

It’s safe to say that it’s pretty weird to have guilt feelings against an object. But I do feel a bit of guilt at the moment. After putting it off for a few weeks I finally made the call to a company today to sell my old car “Panda”. I recently bought a new car because Panda was getting old and a bit rusty and I wasn’t sure it would pass the check up in December.

They will be picking her up tomorrow. Panda was my first car ever and even though it wasn’t very luxurious it brought me place safely for the past 4 years. So to take my guilt feelings away I would like to say to Panda; thank you for the last 4 years, they were wonderful and I’m happy to have owned such a cool car, even though people mocked me for having you!

Right, I’m glad I got that off my chest….

It really is a sad day when you lose your “first” something (no rudeness haha). I remember when I sold my first car, I was heartbroken however I couldn’t afford the repairs that needed to be done. I also remember when I broke my first bike beyond repair: I was around 7 and I cried for over a week (until my parents got me a new one! :P) .

I would never have mocked you for the car you drove, either. A car is only a good car if it gets you from A to B economically, it doesn’t matter what it looks like :)

I know what you mean… there’s a kind of sentimentalism when it comes to firsts. I’m sure Panda will be in good hands :)

Actually Panda is going to be used for spare parts so eventually she will no longer ‘exist’ ;) it was a very old car and practically unsellable, there were two things I could do; give her away for free for parts, or sell her for parts…
