Towed

After driving to work yesterday (and getting a full tank of gas first) everything seemed fine. But when I wanted to go home at around 10 PM that same night, I was in for a surprise.

When I tried to start the motor, nothing happened. And then I really mean nothing, no lights came on or anything. Everything seemed dead. Of course the first thing that crossed my mind is that I left the lights on, or the radio playing. But after a quick inspection it turned out I had my radio cover in my purse (so it can’t play) and the lights go off as soon as the key is turned off.

One of my colleagues had some jump cables, but even that didn’t work. So there was no other option than to call either AA or my dad. With the AA generally taking forever to get to a scene I rang my dad and he arrived about 30 minutes later. After which a long tow back to my house began.

I finished work at 10 PM but wasn’t home before around midnight. It was quiet an adventure to be towed through the city to my house (the highway was no option!), although I have to admit that I was scared sometimes. Like the time when the cable broke and I stopped in the middle of an intersection while my dad was already across it.

Either way, I got home safe and today the man from the garage is going to see if he can fix the car today. If not, it means an unexpected day off work…

A full tank of gas? Man, I remember the days. :P

Hope you get your car troubles sorted out though – I’d literally die without mine because of how far I live from everything…Do you know now what caused it?
