Bling Bling

After looking around on a Windows Vista laptop last week, I decided to pimp my XP laptop to a Vista look. It took me all weekend, but I did it, I now have a Windows XP laptop that looks like it has Vista on it, including the sidebar. It looks cool and I think I now have the best of both ‘worlds’.

Besides being busy with the tuning, I also made some more jewelry. A pearl bracelet and a few sets of earrings. Of which I will post photos soon. Right now I’m looking for some new ideas for jewelry with the beads I have now. I’m also still waiting on an order of beads I made last week; including swarovski beads, and I can’t wait for them arrive (impatient much?!)

What kind of jewelry do you like to wear?

Nicely done!! My laptop has Vista as well, and my desktop is still on XP. It’s not too bad though.
I like both still.
Oooh… you should post some of the jewelry you made!

I like the smaller kinds… not too big and flashy.

Wow you make your own jewellery?

I don’t really wear any jewellery but i like simple stuff and also those long necklaces with a bunch of hearts and stuff and the ends.

Also I love those ‘Recent Photographs’ at the side!

Earrings! I love earrings. It doesn’t matter if they’re made of plastic or other cheap material, I go for the design – the more unique, the better. And, I know it’s not really jewelry, but I always have to have a wristwatch on when I go out.

wow. i’m amazed that someone actually wanted vista!! it’s so pretty, but isn’t it a systems hog? or did you somehow get it streamlined?

and omgomgomgom! i love love love beading and making jewelry. I started out years ago w/ simpled seed beads and i’ve now progressed to semi precious stone and crystals. i’d love to see some pics of what you’ve made. post some?

Vista isn’t that bad. I have been using it since it came out and don’t really mind it for every day use. I had some problems getting some hardware to run but now that drivers are updated it runs pretty stable. I think I have less crashes then when I had XP. Honestly though Ubuntu 7.10 with Desktop Effects is way more awesome than Vista or XP. Sure it is linux and can be a bit daunting but it is incredibly stable. Now if I can just get my gaming keyboard and webcam to work….
