A Peanut and an Apple a day
keep the doctor away… I hope!
Since the first litter of kittens this year I’ve been toying with the idea of adopting one or two kittens and take them in. But since all of our other cats are outside it wouldn’t really be fare to them. They are outside cats; barn cats, they enjoy roaming around and explore.
So yesterday I made the decision to adopt two of them (I already have one cat named Ike ) and have them as outdoor cats; meaning they spend most of their time outdoors but will probably sneak into the house now and again. Their names are Peanut and Apple. Which actually are strange names, I’m aware of that but I was calling Peanut peanut anyway so that kind of stuck and since I love fruit I figured Apple was a nice addition.
They will be wearing collars (if they accept it that is) as I don’t want any neighbors running off with my new cats. Which might sound far fetched but it has happened numerous times before and of course you never see the cats again. Not only do cats get adopted (or rather; stolen) but some are killed. And I hope having them wear collars will prevent that from happening as it indicates that they belong to someone.
Ike doesn’t wear a collar and I kind of want her to, but she’s an older cat and I don’t think she will accept it anymore. So with her I just have to hope she comes back home every day. She’s so cool though, she used to ride on the back of my moped with me and she follows me around everywhere I go.
Anyway, enough talk, here are some photos of my new ‘children’ Apple (black & white) Peanut (black) and Ike (black & white);

They are soooooo cute. I’m not an animal person, but if I ever had to have a pet, I would have a cat. They’re so gorgeous Chans!
