Rectification

In a previous post I talked about how it shocked me to see my site statistics go downhill in about two weeks. Today I visited my stats page again to see how things are and once again I got shocked. No visitors today at all… Which is very weird as one of my default pages on start up is SB .

After looking around in the stats my eyes suddenly catch the top of the page and what do you know. I’ve been checking stats for one of my other sites which I’m not promoting at the moment. No wonder it said no visitors! Usually SB was the first domain to be listed in the statistics page but apparently they changed things around in two weeks and is now at the bottom. I have to admit statistics have dropped but they aren’t as bad as I thought they were, which really makes my day!

What also made my day on Saturday was getting a new photo camera. I’m now the proud owner of a dSLR camera. A Pentax K110D with a Sigma 18 – 125 mm F3.5 – 5.6 DC lens to start off with. I’m so happy with it, I’ve been taking shots all weekend. It sure is a difference with my beloved compact camera and there are so many new things to learn but it’s great! This will take my photography so much further.

Here are two shots I took while testing out the camera without the automatic mode. Granted; they are not the best shots I ever took but let’s face it, handling a dSLR is so much different than a compact that it will take a while to be back on track again.

Hmmm…the photos look a little dark. Thank god for Photoshop retouching huh? :P

Of course, I’m fairly clueless when it comes to photography, but I can pretend I know what I’m talking about….:D

You’re right they look dark. These are unedited photos which you rarely see in photography with dSLR cameras.

The photos where taken in a rainy day with no sunlight and a very dark gray sky so it’s not surprising they look gray / dark though. I’m waiting for the sun to come out which should be the end of this week :P

Congratulation on the new camera!

I think you should try playing around with the shutter speed and ISO – that will help you out so that the images won’t be so darkish. It’s not that bad though – usually camera’s are making images too bright.

LOL. I was just about to say… but I was here yesterday!

Cats scare me… but that picture makes me want to hug a cat… maybe I’ll get a stuffed one! :D

I have no idea of my site statistics and I heavily doubt that I ever want to find them out. The photos are pretty – however, I do not know anything about photography!
