Congratulations!
I want to congratulate Isaac Hanson and his wife Nicole with the birth of their first child; a boy named Clarke Everett. He was born last week and I’m sure he’ll make a beautiful and joyful addition to the family. You can read an official announcement here.
Today I managed to drag myself out of bed a bit more than I have been able to the last few days. I’ve been off work since Wednesday and back on my medication to ease the pain. Unfortunately (as some of you might know) it has a few side effects, for one I fall asleep within 30 minutes to an hour after taking it and it knocks me out most of the following day. It’s also something you can get addicted on and I can feel my body wanting more when the previous pill wears off. I refuse to take another one though, not until I want / need to (instead of my body). But something that bothers me most is the scratching. I scratch myself (mostly legs and arms) so much that I bleed and have quite a few scars from it.
I guess the only good thing is that it kills the pain for a while. Anyway, as I said I’ve been able to drag myself out of bed for a little while today to enjoy some cups of tea on my veranda. I guess that’s what you would call it. My apartment is on the first floor (or second floor for you Americans out there). So the stairs lead up to my veranda, and so does my front door. Some people might call it a patio, balcony, porch or deck and I guess it could be all of that. I think veranda sounds cool though.
My table should be in on Wednesday, I ordered that last week. My dad brought me some flower pots I asked for as well as some paint for my front door. If the weather keeps up I hope to be back on my feet in the next few days, decorate my veranda some more, buy some flowers and maybe some more pots, paint my door and enjoy the sun on my brand new veranda.
I hope you all are enjoying your Easter holiday / Pascha as well. Tomorrow, on Easter Monday I will go over to my parents to enjoy a nice meal with the whole family. My sister and her boyfriend are coming over too so it will be good to have a meal with all of us together again.
