Lateral Meniscus

I know it wasn’t healed yet even though it’s been more than a year. Recently it started hurting again when walking or when making a wrong turn with my leg. Right now it’s bothering me because there is a rainstorm. I’m not talking about my arthritis but I’m referring to the ‘accident’ I had in 2005. For those of you who missed it, here’s a recap;

  • I went to ride my horse in the afternoon of May 18, 2005
  • Right before saddling up I squat down to brush my horse’s legs
  • While I squad down I feel a stabbing pain in my knee (it was horrible and I’m used to pain)
  • I call for help on my cellphone
  • After getting brushed off by a GP I ended up on the E.R.
  • Result: Dislocated Lateral Meniscus on the left knee & crutches for three months

I still can’t squad down properly but physical therapists say it’s nothing. I don’t have to go back to the hospital for check ups either anymore. It’s not that bad, I mean it doesn’t hurt all the time but I guess it’s just hurting like a scar would when the weather turns bad.

Do you have any scars / injuries like that?

P.S. Isaac Hanson got married last Saturday. This is the second Hanson wedding in three months time. I’m glad to see the guys have a good personal life though besides their music carrier.

Sorry that you’re going thru so much pain. Are you ever going to ride again?

Ooh I was back riding again after my crutches :) Even a wheelchair didn’t stop me from riding a horse so a couple of crutches isn’t going to get in my way.

Can’t say I do. Thankfully I don’t, I’m sure it would hurt like hell. :( So: *knock wood*

I had almost the same accedent, but more absurd!!!! :) I fell from the camel, while was visiting the Emirates!!! I wanted to take a photo with me on the camel back, but something happened and I fell and injured my arm!!! Luckily, the doctor from Dubai hotel we stayed in turned to be a real professionalist and he sat my arm without any bad consequences!!!! Don’t worry everything will be fine with your leg!!! :)
