It’s been ages since the last update (is it just me or do I always start an entry with this sentence?) but a lot of things have happened over the past few weeks. First of all I got the keys to the apartment a few days before the actual transfer so I was able to go in and start work on things. So with the keys in my posession I started to strip the walls and remove all the wallpaper. During the weekend dad came to help me and by Monday night we had all the wallpaper removed. The walls had to be smoothened out and we had someone come in to do it for us. Usually it takes a few weeks before they can even come in but on Monday they promised to be in on Thursday and it would take 2 days to complete. By Thursday night they had the whole apartment finished!!! The walls are currently drying before I can paint them (which will be Monday).

Tomorrow I’m going to buy my flooring so we can put it in on Wednesday and hopefully by this time next week I’m moving out of my parents house and into my new apartment. I really enjoy being around my family but getting my own place is very nice too. I’m so excited .

So with all the hard work on the apartment, going out to buy DIY stuff and paint and my job I haven’t had time to sit at the computer a lot or update here. My QBee Quilt is in desperate need of an update and Chantal Photography has a few new photos. I will have loads more time when I’m properly moved in to do all that stuff, so for now, just deal with the lack of updates .
