Going Well

Even though the last few days I’ve been worried about Dribbel, he seems to do better!! I realize he’s not out of the woods yet but this morning when I opened his stable door I saw some of the “old” Dribbel back as he trotted out of his stable instead of having him wait for me to let him lean on me as he walked outside.
We’ve been giving him his medication for the past days and it’s not such a struggle to give it to him as I thought it was going to be. He actually seems to like the wet food with the powder mixed through it hehe. We have to continue doing this for 1.5 weeks and let’s hope he gets better every day and when he’s off the medication he’s back to normal and stays that way.
The blacksmith was here last Wednesday and he looked at his hoofs and also stated (just like the vet) that we caught it in time and that he will heal up completely so let’s keep our fingers crossed for that…. He took some lenght of Dribbel‘s hoofs off (it’s like cutting a nail really) and put new horse shoes on Adanto. Even though it was a lot of money ($95) right before Christmas, I can’t have my horses walking around on feet with long nails (to explain it easily as a horse doesn’t really have nails eh) or missing horse shoes (Adanto was missing one, front left). Now I only need to make an appointment for Zita, but her hoofs weren’t that bad yet so we can wait for a bit longer.

As for work, things have been more busy than ever. I worked until 11.45 PM last night and didn’t get home until 00.15 AM (the next day hehe) and today I worked until 10.45 PM. That’s a lot of overtime again, so I can’t wait to see my paycheck at the end of January. They paid me a Christmas bonus this month so that’s nice too with all the presents I decided to buy for everyone. And today they gave me my Christmas Present, a jar filled with all kinds of different chocolates, YUM. I just wonder how long that jar will stay filled with chocolate lol, I guess not for too long, considering I love chocolate (preferably with soup… yeah I know I’m weird!).
I just hope I can go home early tomorrow to start the holiday weekend. I think we all deserved that but I suppose it’s up to the amount of work we get in.

This year we’re doing secret santa and I needed to buy presents for Niki (she already knows this so I can post it here). So I went into town today and bought her presents as well as a little present for everyone in my family (which we weren’t supposed to do but I couldn’t resist). It’s only small things but I hope they are going to like it. Even though we weren’t going to do much present wise with Christmas, there are a lot of presents under the tree and I think I need to keep an eye on some people so they don’t pick up the presents to feel what’s inside it!!! They only have to wait a few more days lol so I hope they can resist.

I suppose that’s it for today, check out my updated QBee Quilt before you go though! Later dropsticks x
